Project Overview:
This AI-powered process optimization tool helps users create personalized 3D kitchen designs instantly by leveraging AI and Computer Vision. Instead of selecting from pre-defined presets, users can upload an inspiration image from the internet, and AI automatically generates a new 3D kitchen design using matching items from manufacturers' catalogs.
Problem Statement:
Users designing kitchens had to either start from scratch (time-consuming) or select from preset designs (limited options). There was no way to generate a personalized 3D design from an inspiration image while ensuring realistic product availability from manufacturers.
Solution:
✔ Users upload two images:
Their kitchen image (base design).
An inspiration image (the style they want).
✔ AI detects cabinets, appliances, and design elements in the inspiration image.
✔ Searches for matching items from a manufacturer’s catalog using embeddings.
✔ AI applies these selected elements to generate a realistic 3D kitchen design.
My Role & Contributions:
✔ Defined product strategy, ensuring the tool met real user needs.
✔ Designed an optimized UX flow, integrating AI-driven design into existing kitchen planning tools.
✔ Collaborated with AI and development teams to align computer vision, API, and rendering workflows.
✔ Led execution and testing, ensuring accurate object detection and seamless 3D rendering.
